Up for sale is an authentic, rare piece of 18th-century English history: a George III solid sterling silver cream jug made by the highly prominent London silversmith William Kinman (registered mark entered January 1759, Grimwade #3210).

Dating exactly to 1765, this creamer is a masterful example of mid-Georgian Rococo design. It boasts beautifully crisp, high-relief repoussé floral work, sweeping C-scroll borders, a scalloped rim, and an elegant acanthus leaf-capped scrolling handle. The central cartouche on the front is engraved with an elegant, period-appropriate monogram reading "M·A·B".

The underside features a clear set of English hallmarks, including William Kinman's "W K" maker's mark in a rectangular punch, the London Crowned Leopard's Head, the Lion Passant certifying .925 sterling purity, and the lowercase italic "k" date letter for 1765.
