Fine early George III Scottish sterling silver cream jug or small cream pot, attributed to the noted Edinburgh silversmith Daniel Ker and dating to approximately 1765–1780.

This handsome 18th century example displays the elegant, restrained proportions associated with mid- to late-Georgian Scottish silver. The jug features a classic baluster form with shaped rim, scroll handle, and raised foot. Hallmarks are present and consistent with an Edinburgh-origin piece of the period, with the maker’s mark believed to be that of Daniel Ker.

Daniel Ker was an active Edinburgh silversmith during the third quarter of the 18th century and pieces from this era are increasingly difficult to locate, particularly in untouched condition with clear period character.
