This exquisite pair of silver candlesticks, marked by Joseph Craddock and William Ker Reid, was crafted in London during the reign of George IV. Their refined floral, rocaille, and acanthus leaf motifs embody the opulence of late Georgian design, while the substantial weight and broad bases offered essential stability when candlelight was the primary source of illumination.

This pair represents one of the final collaborations between Craddock and Reid before their partnership ended in 1825. Reid—part of the distinguished Newcastle goldsmithing family—soon established his own workshop in London.

Each candlestick measures 10" high with a 6 1/8" diameter.
