This charming Victorian-era set includes two sterling silver open salt cellars with matching spoons, presented in their original fitted box. Each salt cellar measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter and 5/8 inch tall, while the spoons are 2 1/8 inches long. The pieces show light wear and mild surface corrosion/toning from contact with salt, along with areas of tarnish, and would benefit from a careful polishing. Both salts are fully hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling, the anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter “f”, with no monograms. The combined weight is approximately 20 grams.

The original box shows significant wear and some structural damage, consistent with its age. Based on the hallmarks and included sticker, the set dates to Birmingham, 1906, although the style itself reflects late Victorian taste. A lovely example of English table silver, complete with its period presentation case.
